The placing of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read carefully and keep a printed copy for future reference.

To order through this website you must be at least 18 years of age. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

We, the supplier have the right to refuse, at our discretion, to supply any goods ordered by you. All orders are accepted at the discretion of Grandads Grotto.

Goods are not sold on a trial basis. If you buy goods which have no published technical specifications, it is your responsibility to establish the suitability of the goods for your intended purpose.

Payment Method
We accept all major credit and debit cards through PayPal or Nochex. You do not need to have an account with either to make a purchase. On confirmation at checkout you will be taken to the payment processor of your choice, where you enter your card details to complete payment. N.B. For a purchase of £100 or more through Nochex you will have to submit further details. To become a member of either PayPal or Nochex is Free and only takes a minute or two. We use these companies as they provide the safest method possible for online purchases for both the consumer and ourselves as the retailer.  

Availability of Goods
All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. All items will be delivered within 24 hours if in stock, items out of stock are subject to a 7-10 day delivery schedule.

Complaints
Should you need to contact us regarding products and services for which you are not completely satisfied please email us immediately at sales@grandadsgrotto.co.uk . We will respond to all complaints as soon as possible.

Tax and other charges
We charge UK VAT at 17.5% on all orders and this is included in the price shown on our website. 

All local customs, excise, value added and import taxes are your responsibility and we will not pay these charges.

In addition, we will not be responsible for any costs, fines, taxes or duties incurred as a result of goods being seized outside the United Kingdom. We will not provide any refunds or credit notes in these circumstances.

Returns and refunds
It is your responsibility to inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and contact us by telephone or e-mail if you do not receive your order or the items appear to be damaged or faulty within 48 hours.

If you believe you have received damaged or incorrect goods, you must contact us by e-mail or in writing within seven working days of your receipt of the goods and provide us with your order reference number. We will have the goods returned to us and pay the costs of the return shipping. If we do not receive notification within seven days, any shortage, damage or other deficiency will be deemed to have occurred after delivery to you.

If, in our opinion, the returned goods are damaged we will provide you, at our option, with replacement goods or a refund for the total costs of the goods within 30 days of our receipt of the returned goods provided you have complied with the provisions above.

If we find that the goods are not damaged or faulty, we will return the ordered goods to you and you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping. We will also charge you an administration fee of 10% of the cost of your original order.

When goods have been ordered in error or as not expected, the Company may agree to their return on the following conditions.

A request must be made to Grandads Grotto, within seven days of receipt of goods.

If you wish to return unwanted goods, please ensure that any product you have bought is in original condition, unworn or unused and sent back to us with its original packaging. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Refunds will be subject to the purchase price less a 10% handling charge. Carriage charges will NOT be refunded.

Returned goods will only be accepted where a returns authorisation has been given. the relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. For your own protection, please obtain a receipt from the carrier, as the company accept no responsibility for lost parcels.

Goods which are given free, as part of an offer, are not exchangeable or refundable unless the full offer is returned, subject to normal terms and conditions.

Special or customised items cannot be returned unless faulty.

If you choose to return an item to Grandads Grotto please allow 14 days for administration.

Product descriptions
In describing the Products available on our web site we attempt to be as accurate as possible. Grandads Grotto, however, does not warrant that Products descriptions or other content of this web site is accurate, complete, reliable or error-free. If a Product offered by us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return the Product in an unused condition in accordance with the provisions detailed below.

Cancellation and variation of orders
You are entitled to cancel your order for goods at any time up to the end of the seventh working day after you submit your order provided that you have not already received the goods subject to the payment of a handling charge of 5% of the price of such goods.

To vary or withdraw your order you must notify us in writing at the address set out in the contact details below.

If any provision in these terms and conditions is deemed to be illegal or unenforceable by any competent authority such terms and conditions shall to that extent be severed from the rest of the provision of these terms and conditions which will remain in full force and effect. We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England. English is the only language conclusion of the contract.
